CALTHA floor lamp by Gianfranco Frattini for Luci Italia

Gianfranco Frattini is one of the most prolific and relevant designers of his generation. He designed the Caltha lamp in 1982 for the Italian manufacturer Luci; the lamp was later re-edited under the name Colonna by CB2 for a short period in the 2020s . The lamp for sale is from the early production by Luci. Caltha is a testament to Frattini’s genius when it comes to technical details and articulation of forms and materials.

In good vintage condition, with minor surface wear on the black paint of the central mast and base, consistent with age and use.
