PLEXITUBE lamp by Galaxi Lighting

Pioneer in the industrial process of acrylic forming in Canada, the Ontarian company Galaxi was specializing in the 1960s-1970s in the fabrication of lamps with stunning acrylic lampshades, strongly reminiscent of some pieces from Italian designers like Harvey Guzzini. This desk lamp is a rare model from the 1970s production of this Canadian manufacturer.

In good vintage condition, with surface wear consistent with age and use. Note that the off-white textured paint on the base is not a defect but reflects the type of paint used (see pictures).
